Join naturalists from Delaware Canal State Park and Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve to learn kayaking basics on a paddle along the Delaware Canal. While we float, we will explore the banks of the canal for a variety of different native tree species. We will focus on Pennsylvania’s more common tree species and discuss characteristics that will help you identify them, whether you are up close or at a distance.

Use of kayaks, paddles and life jackets is included, with special thanks to our friends at DCSP. We will paddle in light rain, but the program will be canceled for heavy downpours or thunderstorms. Single and tandem kayaks will be available. If you wish to specify your boat preference, please let us know when you register.
