Scout Tours & Badge Programs
The Preserve is the perfect place to earn your Scout badges! We welcome both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to join us for a nature adventure.
Come for a self-guided experience or set up a guided tour or program. Please contact Educational Coordinator at 215.862.2924 or education@bhwp.org to discuss the available programs and your options for a visit.
Girl Scouts
Daisy Scouts: Clover Petal and Rose Petal. We also offer the following parts of the Between Earth & Sky Journey: Clover Project, Firefly Award, Blue Bucket Award, Clover Award
Brownie Scouts: Senses, Bugs, Hiker
Jr. Girl Scouts: Animal Habitats, Flowers, Gardeners
Cadette Scouts: Trees, Breathe Journey
Cub Scouts
New programs adapted to new BSA standards are being created for:
Tiger Scouts: Tigers in the Wild, Backyard Jungle Adventure
Wolf Scouts: Council Fire, Paws on the Path, Grow Something
Bear Scouts: Fur, Feathers & Ferns
Webelo Scouts: Walk About, Earth Rocks, Into the Wild, Into the Woods
The Preserve is also a great location to hold a badge day. If you are a Scout who needs to fulfill a project, please contact the Preserve to explore the different opportunities we may have available for you. Campers will explore the marvels of nature as they learn and play amidst our 100+ acres of ponds, meadow, and forest. Budding scientists are encouraged to uncover the mysteries of the natural world through active hands-on explorations, creative problem solving, and inquiry-based learning.
