$25.00

Named for the sight and sound of it’s rustling (quaking) leaves, quaking aspen is a handsome tree with whitish or very light green bark and beautiful yellow color in the fall. A rapidly growing tree, it can form large groves by spreading root shoots, and is best placed in an area where it will be allowed to spread or where the sprouts can be controlled by lawn mowing or frequent pruning. Although it will tolerate many soil conditions it is happiest in moist, well-drained sites. Host to over 300 species of butterflies and moths.
