In this presentation, nationally recognized landscape architect, Allan Summers will address considerations in using natives plants including cultivation needs, description and discussion of individual plants, and how the plants can be used to accomplish certain design objectives.
Allan Summers, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP, is a Principal at Robinson Anderson Summers Inc., and has a passion for horticulture and fine art. He has been providing planning and design services through all phases of landscape architecture for over thirty years. He brings awareness and understanding of landscape traditions rooted in the past, as well as contemporary concerns and aesthetics, combined with the highest levels of creativity, horticultural expertise, and environmental stewardship.
His work with RAS enjoys national recognition in public and botanical gardens, residential estate design, planning, and restoration of historic landscapes.
