Skull Identification Adventures with Pam Newitt (Feb. 19)

Monday, February 19 10:30 am
Monday, February 19 12:00 pm

Join us on this holiday to celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month as we take a close look at TEETH! Many mammals call the Preserve home, and you can learn a lot about them just by looking at their teeth. After we explore why shape, size and placement helps animals chew, we will use a special key and real skulls to identify at least six mammals! Ages 8-12.

Pam Newitt has a B.S. in wildlife conservation from the University of Maryland, has been a professional interpretive naturalist since 1989 and is a long-time active presence at the Preserve. She loves walking woodland trails, looking up for birds and down at wildflowers.
