Golden Alexander (Zizia aurea)
$7.00
Golden Alexander has a soft, almost lacy appearance, with yellow flowers reminiscent of Queens Anne’s lace. Easy to establish, it’s both an important plant for native pollinators and a larval food of the black swallowtail butterfly. An excellent meadow plant for moist areas and habitat restoration, since it will reseed and spread. However, because it does reseed freely, in more formal settings consider pulling “volunteers.”
