Also called Atlantic goldenrod, forest goldenrod is one of the few goldenrods that thrives in part shade. Taller than the other shade goldenrods, blue-stemmed (S. caesia) and zig-zag (S. flexicaulis), it has arching stems with plentiful blooms. As with all goldenrods it is one of the most important plants for fall pollinators.
