Dragonflies, damselflies, mosquitoes, craneflies, and mayflies are common spring and summer sights to see as you sit near a pond or creek. Did you know that all of these insects actually began their lives in the water? Researchers can tell quite a bit about the quality of streams just on the creatures they observe living there. Join us as we explore Pidcock Creek and visit with its residents to see firsthand the benefits native plants have on aquatic ecosystems.

For ages 8 and up.
