In this partnership program with the Wild Bird Research Group, learn firsthand about some of Pennsylvania’s more elusive raptors. This in-person experience will focus on the Northern saw-whet owls, Pennsylvania’s smallest owl, which are the focus of the group’s current study. Participants will have the opportunity to see this research unfold before their very eyes with a live demonstration. Fifty percent of the proceeds of this program will go to the Wild Bird Research Group in support of their research.

Wild Bird Research Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to research and conservation of wild birds in the Americas. WBRG is a collaborator of Project Owlnet, a North American network of ornithologists studying owl migration ecology. Each year WBRG safely captures and bands hundreds of saw-whet owls as they travel south for the winter.
