Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient self-care practice that is a component of traditional Chinese medicine. This course will focus on physical postures and movements, slow deep breathing and focused meditation as a way to circulate chi – universal energy – for health and wellness. Qigong helps lower blood pressure, enhance immune and lymphatic systems, improve balance and stability and loosen stiff joints. No experience is necessary; all that is required is an open mind and a willing spirit. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. This course is held inside; sessions will occur on the following dates:
– January 10, 2018
– January 17, 2018
– January 24, 2018
– January 31, 2018
– February 7, 2018 (Canceled due to inclement weather.)
– February 14, 2018
– February 21, 2018 (Rescheduled 2/7 class.)
