Heart-leaved Meehania (Meehania cordata)

This is an unassuming groundcover until it explodes with blue violet flowers above the foliage. It is best used as a moist woodland groundcover, but it will grow in deep shade or even in sun if it is kept moist. Unlike other mints, it is a non-aggressive spreader. It grows low enough to work under small trees or shrubs that are open enough to let dappled sunlight reach the plant.
