Bayberry (Morella pensylvanica)

$25.00

A tough shrub that can grow in just about any soil. Its dense, rounded form provides nice cover for birds. Gray berries on the females provide winter interest and an emergency food source for birds. Although this is not the bayberry species sold in the spice section of the grocery store, the waxy leaves have a similar fragrance. The berries are used for traditional bayberry candles.
